Matkamessufiiliksiä../ Feelings from the Travel Fair...

              
Olin tänään Matkamessuilla. Odotin niitä innolla, tapahtumasta on tullut minulle
 jo traditio, tammikuun kohokohta. Sain messujen promotilaisuudesta yhden lipun
 ja ystävältäni Sannalta kaksi. Säästin kympin, koska opiskelijalippu messuille olisi
 maksanut 10 euroa. Lähdin kotoa 11.50 ja olin perillä noin 12.20.

I attended the Travel Fair today. I was really looking forward to them, the event has become a tradition for me, a highlight of January. I got one ticket from the promo event and two from my friend Sanna. I saved ten euros, cause a student ticket would've costed that much. I left my house at 11.50 and arrived around 12.20.

         

 Tiesin, että ystäväni Sanna puhuu Rantapallo-lavalla esteettömästä matkailusta kl 13.30.

  Se oli tiivis perustietopaketti.Parhaiten  se soveltui niille, jotka eivät olleet kuulleet asiasta aikaisemmin Minulle siinä ei  ollut mitään uutta, mutta on hienoa, että ystäväni puhui aiheesta.

Kuulijoiden määrästä päätellen aihe kiinnostaa.

Oli kiva myös moikata bloggaajatoveriani Nellaa messuilla. Fazerin Travel Shopissa minulle

 tuli pieni häivähdys lentokenttäfiilistä, kun ihmiset karkkia ostaessaan olivat matkafiiliksessä.

 Tykkään itekin käydä vähän shoppailemassa ennen reissua, samoin Tuula.

I knew that my friend Sanna was speaking on the Rantapallo stage about accessible traveling at 1.30 pm. It was a concise basic info. It was better suited for the ones who hadn't heard about it before. There was nothing new in it for me. Still, I think it's great that a friend of mine was talking about it. Based on the amount of people attending, the topic interests people. It was also nice to greet my blogger friend Nella at the Fair. At the Fazer Travel Shop, I got a hint of the airport feeling, cause the people were in such high traveling mood, while buying candy. I like to do some shopping myself before my trip, so does Tuula.   

  

  Kokonaisuutena messuista jäi vähän vaisu "ihan kiva" olo. Ei ollut mitään yhtä huippujuttua.
  Joskus kohteiden esittelijät ovat olleet paljon innokkaampia. Pari vuotta sitten olin
  ihan fiiliksissä Egyptin matkailusta. Nyt tuo täpinäfiilis jäi puuttumaan.

I was left feeling a bit tame, "it was okay" as a whole. There wasn't any particular top thing. Sometimes the presenters have been more enthusiastic. Few years ago I was all hyped about traveling to Egypt. Now that feeling was lacking.    

       

       p.s.  Royal Caribbeanin Pool Bar oli kiva idea, mutta huonosti toteutettu. Baarissa pitkät jonot,
    pöytiä ei juuri ollut. Työntekijöiden kiire näkyi. Mangococktail oli raikas ja hyvä. Tunnelmaan   olisi   voinut panostaa esimerkiksi musiikilla.  Sopivia lauluja ovat  Feeling hot hot,  sunshine reggae jne. Pahaksi onneksi kännykän tallennustila oli täyttynyt, enkä saanut kuvia otettua.

p.s the Pool Bar of the Royal Caribbean was a nice idea but badly organized. There was long queues, there were not many tables. The rush of the employees was visible. Mango-cocktail was fresh and tasty. They could've invested on the atmosphere with music for example. Suitable songs are Feeling hot hot, sunshine reggae etc. Unluckily the memory of my phone was full and I wasnt able to take any pictures.    

          


         
             

Matkamessujen promotilaisuus ja arvonta Kampissa/ Travel fair promotion event and a raffle in Kamppi

Menin Kampin kauppakeskukseen tänään neljän aikaan. Löysin netistä kilpailun osoitteesta
www.tempaudu.fi, siinä on tarjolla hienoja matkapalkintoja, mm. viikon risteily Välimerellä, Lumiloma Lapissa, viikko New Yorkissa, rantaloma Kroatiassa, jne. Ja risteilypalkintoon sisältyy myös lennot. Tilaisuuden juontaja oli showmies. Hän kysyi osallistujilta kokemuksia esimerkiksi
risteilyistä.  Vanhempi pariskunta olikin juuri palannut Karibialta, he olivat hyvin tyytyväisiä matkaansa.  Ruoka oli hyvää ja ohjelma monipuolista. Royal Caribbeanin edustaja kertoi myös loistavista kuntoilumahdollisuuksista, löytyy uima-altaita, kuntosali, tanssitiloja jne. Omakin risteilykuumeeni nousi. Ja haluan ehdottomasti mennä esteettömään karuselliin.
Seuraava matkani tulee olemaan risteily.

I went to  Kamppi shopping center today around 4 pm. I found a competition from www.tempaudu.fi, the prizes included a week long cruise to the Mediterranean, snow holiday in Lapland, week in New York, beach holiday in Croatia etc. The cruise price also included the flights. The host of the event was a showman. He was asking the participants about their experiences about cruises. An older couple had just returned from one and they were satisfied. The food was good and the program was varied. A representative from the Royal Caribbean also talked about their excellent exercise possibilities: there are pools, a gym, dance places etc. My cruise fewer got high and I definitely want to go to the accessible carousel. My next trip will be a cruise.     

Ruotsin matkailun edustaja suositteli Tukholman euroviisuja ja Ruotsin Lappia. Abba-museosta löytyy Abban lisäksi muutakin musiikkiin liittyvää. Tämä oli minulle yllätys. Edustaja antoi myös kivoja kohdesuosituksia lapsille ja vanhemmille.
Se oli hyvä muistutus siitä, että läheltäkin löytyy kivoja kohteita. Aina ei tarvitse mennä kauas!
On kiinnostavaa, että suomalaiset käyvät enemmän Ruotsissa kuin ruotsalaiset Suomessa.

A representative from travel Sweden recommended the Eurovision in Stockholm and the Swedish Lapland. There's also other music related things at the Abba museum. This surprised me. He also recommended other places for children and their parents. It was a nice reminder about the fact that there are nice destinations closer too. You don't always have to go far! It's interesting that Finnish people visit Sweden more often then Swedish people do Finland.

                          Sky-wheel on hieno, näköalat Globenin huipulta ovat mahtavat!
                         Haluan seuraavalla Tukholman-reissullani käydä Abba-museossa,
                         joskus täytyisi kyllä yöpyäkin siellä. Kuusi tuntia on aivan liian
                         vähän.

Sky-wheel is fine and the view on top of Globen were amazing! On my next cruise to Stockholm I want to visit the Abba-museum. Someday I should also spent the night there too. Six hours is way too short.   

Alkuvuoden reissuja/ trips from the beginning of the year

Moikka! Toivottavasti vuotenne on alkanut mukavasti. Olen varannut Tukholman-risteilyn 5-7.2.
Aion käydä Abba-museossa. Museossa pääsee tutustumaan Abban historiaan, katsomaan esiintymispukuja yms. Mielenkiintoista, odotan innolla!

Hey! I hope you all have had a nice beginning for the year. I've booked a cruise to Stockholm from Feb. 5th til 7th. I'm going to visit the Abba museum. In there you get to know their history, see their costumes etc. It'll be interesting, I'm looking forward to it! 

Olin jo varaamassa paikkaa Toscanan kevätmatkalle, mutta paikat ovat jo täynnä.
Lihastautiliiton Toscanan -matkalla olisi paikka vapaana, matka on kuitenkin tarkoitettu
ensisijaisesti lihassairaille ja heidän läheisilleen. Katson ensin, täyttyykö se.

I was about to book a spring trip to Tuscany but it was already fully booked. There would be one place left on the Neuromuscular Disorders Association's trip there but it's primarily meant for people with Neuromuscular Disorders and their families. I'll see if it gets filled first.

On Tuesday Jan. 12th, there's a travel fair related pre-raffle in Kamppi shopping center.  www.tempaudu.fi, you should take part, there are great prizes. If I were to win I rather go to the Caribbean cruise or Mediterranean cruise. A week in New York also interests me.

 Koska monet muutkin matkabloggaajat ovat tehneet vuosikasauksen tai yhteenvedon, teen itekin nyt sellasen. Jos tarkkoja ollaan, blogi on nyt toiminut reilut 8 kuukautta, aloitin 27.4.2015.

Cause many traveling bloggers have made a year review or summary, so will I. My blog has been active for a bit over 8 months, as I started on April 27th 2015.

Vuoden eka reissu oli Himoksen kelkkalasketteluleiri 23.-25.1.  Se meni oikein mukavasti.
 Lunta oli,pikkupakkastakin, juuri sopiva sää lasketteluun.

The first trip of the year was the sleigh-downhill skiing camp on Jan. 23rd to 25th. It went fine, there was snow and mild below zero degrees, just the right weather for downhill skiing.

                                 Helmikuussa olin Tallinnan-risteilyllä Baltic Queenillä. Sieltä en muistanut
                                 kuvia ottaa. Mukavasti meni, laivan baarissa vaan oli niin kylmä, olis pitäny
                                 olla villapaita päällä.

In February I was on a cruise to Tallinn with Baltic Queen, I didn't remember to take any pictures from there. It was fun, though it was cold at the ship's bar. I should've worn a sweater.    

                             

                                 Kesäkuun alussa sain uusia ystäviä, kun olin kesäristeilyllä Tukholmassa.

                           Tälläinen oli matkavuoteni 2015. Ensi vuonna lähden todennäköisesti ensin
                           Tukholmaan ja toukokuussa Toscanaan, syksyllä toivottavasti pidemmälle
                           risteilylle. Blogini jutuista suosituin oli ensimmäinen juttuni, esittelyteksti.
                           Toiseksi tuli, hieman yllättäen, Pitkä lento ja sähköpyörätuoli. Tästä olen
                           erityisen  ilahtunut. Kolmanneksi Esteettömät äkkilähdöt.

This is what my traveling year 2015 was like. Next year I'll probably go to Stockholm first and in May to Tuscany, on autumn hopefully to a longer cruise. The most popular entry of my blog was the introduction and number two, bit surprisingly, was the post about long flights and electric wheelchair. This pleases me. Number three was the accessible last minute travel deals.
